Onamalu undergoes Censor, to release in July

  • IndiaGlitz, [Wednesday,June 27 2012]

Onamalu, directed and produced by Kranthi Madhav, underwent the mandatory censor procedures and was awarded 'U' rating. The film is scheduled to release in July. Rajendra Prasad is playing the role of a school teacher, who is known to concern himself with nothing but the future of children at school. What will he do after his retirement? Retirement is for work, not for the heart. Narayana Rao searches for fond traces in his memories. Onamalu has an earthy feel. I am confident that the audience will like the movie, Madhav says. Kalyani is playing Rajendra's wife.

The movie has music by Koti. Cinematography is by Hari Anumolu.

It is rare that a yet-to-be-released film bags accolades as well as attention. Onamalu holds this record. I cannot forget the blessings given by Dasari Narayana Rao and Ramesh Prasad after watching a special screening. Likewise, Krishna Reddy, Atchi Reddy, Devadas Kanakala, Tammareddy Bharadwaja and other industry stalwarts fell in love with our film, he says.

He is confident that Rajendra Prasad will go a step up with this film.
