This Deepavali festival season, three Tamil movies had announced release, and they were Vijay starrer Bigil by Atlee, Karthi's Kaithi directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay Sethupathi's Sanga Thamizhan by Vijay Chandar.

While it was recently announced that Sanga Thamizhan which was earlier planned as October 4 release has been pushed to Diwali, now the latest update is that sanga Thamizhan will not be releasing this Diwali.

Libra Productions Ravindar Chandrasekhar who recently got the theatrical rights of Sanga Thamizhan announced that the movie might release either on November 8 or 15. Vijaya Productions which has produced the movie has some financial issues to be resolved, and this is said to be the reason for postponement.
