Actor of 25 films Yogish has picked the film Kolaara` – the role of Thangam for the wish of his mother Smt Ambujakshi Siddaraju. Yogish mother Ambujakshi is also an actress of small and big screen.

The role of Thangam (don of Kolara for seven years) is especially for my mother because she wanted me to see me in an action packed cinema that has a very good mother sentiment.

Apparently Yogish last film to hit the screen was Kalabhairava`. He had heard about Thangam and at his seven years of age Thangam was gunned down. I just accepted the film on the contents given by director Arya Mahesh. This Thangam is for the first time on a real life rowdy says Yogish.

Of course while shooting for this film Thangam connected people were watching curiously. One of the thick friends of Thangam came on muhurut day and said in the caravan I was sitting. You are doing Thangam role, you should do well` – he ordered and went away. A few others even cursed us for doing a film on Thangam.

The tough part of this Kolara` was shooting in the areas where Thangam lived and showing it to them. It was possible to bring in real things after contacting Thangam mother and Thangam friend Bala who is still living. Bala has not been encountered so far although he had clear cut association with Thangam. Shivamanju is in the role of this Bala role remembers Yogish.
