One more crown to GK, Dr Vishnu award

The noted national and internationally acclaimed director from Kannada cinema Padmasri Dr Girish Kasaravalli received Dr Vishnuvardhana award from Public Works minister Dr HC Mahadevappa for his contribution to cinema on various facets.
Dr Girish Kasaravalli receiving the award at Kannada Sahitya Parishat stated that cinema and literature has affinity. Dr Vishnuvardhana is one of the icons. We have entered the cinema industry in 70’s together. Getting an award in his name is proud moment for me. I have tried many a times to narrate a story for him and make a film. It could not happen. In my career I studied medical science; I came to cinema industry by accident. Many surprises have taken place in life. Kannada literature and Pooja Film Institute education took me to different level disclosed Dr GK.
Kannada Sahitya Praishat President Dr Manu Baligar presided over the award evening. Dr Vishnu Sene President Veerakaputra Srinivas was present on this occasion.
