Ram Madhav, the BJP leader, today said that most of those who were detained in Kashmir in the wake of the abrogation of Article 270 have been released. Only some are still under detention.

"Four months ago, a large number of people were put under preventive detention. But, today, only 30-32 prominent leaders are under preventive detention and in total the number is less than 100," he said.

Ram Madhav added that internet services have been resumed in Kargil and some other parts. "We expect that internet services will soon be resumed in Jammu region and Kashmir valley as the situation becomes favourable," he said.

Ground reports say that the number of violent incidents has not been large in Kashmir in the last four months.
