Operation Java gears up for an OTT release!

Owing to the second wave of COVID-19, theatres have been shut down in Kerala. Due to this, the screening of several movies that were running successfully was canceled. From Manju Warrier's Chathurmukham to Rajisha Vijayan's Kho Kho, several movies' screenings came to a halt. The investigative thriller ‘Operation Java’ was also one among them.
Now, the good news is that the movie is gearing up for an OTT release. Zee5 has bagged the rights and the film will start streaming on the platform from May 9.
'Operation Java', directed by debutant Tharun Moorthy, hit the theaters on February 12 and emerged as a box office hit. Starring Balu Varghese, Lukman, Vinayakan, Irshad, Shine Tom Chacko, Binu Pappu, Dhanya Ananya, Mamitha Baiju, Vineetha Koshy, and Prashanth Alexander in the lead roles, the film had a successful theatrical run for around 75 days.
‘Operation Java’ is also getting remade in Hindi. More details regarding the Bollywood remake are awaited though.
