Breaking! Death Penalty for child rape approved

The rape of a minor girl in a temple in Kashmir has shook the nation and the unison of voices has been pressing for the death penalty for rapists.  The Union Cabinet has approved the courts to award death penalty for raping children upto 12 years of age.

The ordinance has been sent to the President of India for approval.  There will amendments in Indian Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences to make for the highest punishment to offenders.  The move has been welcomed from people across the country.
