Oru Marubhoomikkatha

 

After keeping away from Mollywood for eight years, the biggest ever Kerala based director Priyadarshan is returning to his roots. And for that he has selected a subject which is shot entirely in the deserts of Abudhabi - a place where a lot of expatriate malayalees are working. initially titled as 'Arabeem Ottakavum P Madhavan Niarum', the movie has now been retitled as 'Oru Marubhoomikkatha'.  Priyadarshan also have plans to keep the original name intact for the film in Kerala and other parts of India. However, the middleast version of the film will carry the new name, according to the latest reports.

The first Malayalam-language film to be shot entirely on location in the emirates, the crew and cast from India shot in Yas Island, JabalHafeet, and the raw desert, though they have to finally move on for a 20 day interior shoot in the sets constructed at Hyderabad Ramoji city.

The story of the movie, which is said to be a hilarious affair is kept as a top secret and very little is known outside the sets. This is Priyadarshan's 82nd film and will also feature Mukesh in a significant role with Mohanlal. While Mohanlal appear as P Madhavan Nair who is an NRI working in the gulf, Mukesh is his close friend Abdulla. The film is basically said to be a mild departure from the regular Priyan flicks and is an adventure story, following these two friends living in Abu Dhabi. As with his previous hit Chandralekha, this new movie will also have car crashes, mistaken identity and kidnapping drama.. Hindi star Shakthi Kapoor appear in the movie as a Arab Sheikh.

'Oru Marubhoomikkatha'  is also scripted by Priyadharashan based on a story by Abhilash Nair. Wwhile other Priyan regulars  from Mollywood including Nedumudi Venu, Manian pillai raju and Innocent are also in the cast, Suraj Venjaramoodu will be another big attraction, playing a big role in a Priyan movie.

The movie will  have music by MG. Sreekumar in the lyrics of Bichu Thirumala and Rajeev Alungal. Suresh Kollam is the art director while Arun kumar does the editing. Seven Arts International will distribute 'Oru Marubhoomikkatha' into theatres as a Bakrid offering.
