Director AMR Ramesh well known for his impactful films based on real life incidents is back with 'Oru Melliya Koadu'. The director's first two films 'Kuppi' and 'Vanayudham' were based on former Indian President Rajiv Gandhi's assassination and the conspiracy behind it, his second film was about the police operation to kill the deadly forest brigand Sandhanakadathal Veerappan.
'Ory Melliya Kodu' is loosely based on a Spanish thriller 'EI Cuerpo'. The story revolves around the mysterious death of a rich woman played by Manisha Koirala while Shaam plays her husband and Arjun plays the investigator of the murder. The husband of the victim is the prime suspect in the case.
Isaignani Ilaiyaraja has rendered the musical score for the film. The music album which was released on March 20 included three songs. Krishna Sriram has handled the cinematography while the Editing is by K.V.Krishna Reddy.
'Oru Melliya Kodu' has been produced by AMR Ramesh, Deshraj and Roopa Deshraj and the film is expected to hit the screens on July 1, 2016.
The Kannada version of the film titled as the 'Game' with the same lead cast and crew members released on February 26 and garnered positive reviews.
