OTT platforms want films to release in theatres: Baahubali producer

Shobu Yarlagadda, the producer of 'Baahubali', has said that the streaming platforms nowadays want films to release in theatres, too. He made this statement in the context of big-ticket movies like Akshay Kumar's 'Laxmmi Bomb' and Suriya's 'Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra' finding their way to OTT.

He suggested that the OTT platforms don't always like to have the onus of taking the film to the consumes on their own.

Here are a few of the upcoming OTT releases: Keerthy Suresh's 'Miss India' will stream from November 4, Suriya's 'Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra' will permier from November 12, Siddhu Jonnalagadda-Seerat Kapoor's 'Maa Vintha Gaadha Vinuma' from November 13, and Anand Deverakonda's 'Middle Class Melodies' will stream from November 20.
