Director Pa Ranjith had worked with Superstar Rajnikanth back to back in the hit movies Kabali and Kaala, and following this he had been producing movies in his Neelam productions banner.

The director, who has so far produced Pariyerum Perumal and Irandam Ulaga Porin Kadaisi Gundu, was also working on the pre production of his Hindi debut Birsa Munda, and had also planned to make a Tamil movie before it.

This movie which was rumoured to be titled Sarpatta parambarai will be set in North Madras boxing background, and will have Arya in lead and the latest speculation making rounds is that Joker heroine Ramya Pandian who has got popular with her photoshoots might play the female lead in the movie.
