A good movie never fails to woo audience. 'Palaivana Cholai' is one such film that would appeal to youngsters. A fresh screenplay has been written based on the original story, says director Dayalan.

The remade version features Nithin Sathya, Karthika, Sanjeev, Chama, Sathyan and Abhinay in lead roles.

Nithin Sathya dons the role enacted by Chandrasekar in the original, while 'Dindigul Sarathy' fame Karthika is playing Suhasini’s role in the new version. Abhinay replaces Rajeev, Sathyan is in Thiyagu’s role and Chama replaces Janakaraj.

We believe that the film will surely strike a chord with the present generation. It carries a revolutionary theme, adds Dayalan.

Produced by Radhakrishnan, the film has musical score by Bobby of ‘Sollamale’ fame. Evergreen hits from the original - 'Megamae Megamae...' and 'Aaalanalum Aalu...' have been remixed by him.
