'Pandhya' by team of director Devu is short of expectations. It is a lackluster film. The script, screenplay, performances are well below average. There is strength in the film to entertain audience. It is routine and rubbish concept proving nothing new in the film.

In the beginning a crystal clear thought is given on making of this film would have saved the grace of the producer and his team. When there is not even one scene to hold the attention what is the purpose of making a film like ‘Pandya’.

Four youths wanderers and freeloaders are bane to the society. They have not been good to family and also to the society. They enter in to a friction with auto drivers. All four are rounded off. To get bail from arrest is tough issue. The head of the auto drivers association helps the four youths in release. He enlighten what mistake they have done showing him the fate of one auto driver who has lost his hand in the friction.

This particular incident changes the attitudes of four youths. They move on to become responsible citizens. Chandru protagonist one among the four is ditched in love by Pallavi (Spoorthi) and he accepts his relative Shyla (Manasi) realizing his flaws.

It is only Spoorthi and Manasi strike in their performance. Veterans Sharat Lohitashva, Shylaja Nag, Chitra Shenoy, Muni, MN Lakshmi Devi extended good support.

One song Eno Hudukuthide Manasu…..shot on Manasi and Chandru is good in melody. There is no need to mention on technical aspects of the film. You can miss this one.

Score - 3.5/10
