Being produced by Sangha Mitra Arts and Arka Media Works, Pawan Kalyan's up-and-coming film has been named as Panjaa. Producers Neelima Tirumalashetty and Shobhu Yarlagadda have said that the film was shot as a snazzy action-packed entertainer. The title has been chosen after much deliberation keeping in mind the mass image of Paawn Kalyan.

Scheduled to release in December (date is not fixed yet), the film is being music-directed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Music is going to be a main asset of the film, they said. PS Vinod of Musafir and Raktha Charitra fame is the cinematographer.

Art work has been done by Sunil Babu, who has worked for films like Anandabhadram in the past. Speaking further about the movie, the producers said that the film is essentially set in Kolkata. Another high point about the movie is that its stunts were directed by Sham Kaushal of Krissh and My Name Is Khan fame. Pawan is shown in a whole new avatar in the movie.

The film's trailers will be released on the eve of Deepawali. Brahmanandam, Tanikella Bharani, Ali, Jackey Shroff, Atul Kulkarni, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Subbu Raju and others will be seen.

Adivi Sesh of Karma fame plays Pawan Kalyan's brother in the film.
