Anupama Parameswaran, who was seen in the blockbuster Tillu Square last year, is now coming up with the female-oriented film, Paradha. Directed by Praveen Kandregula of Cinema Bandi fame, this movie features Malayalam actress Darshana Rajendran and Sangeetha in the other lead roles. The teaser of the film was released today.
The teaser portrays Anupama in the role of a village belle named Subbu who goes all the way to the Himalayas by paying a humongous 70 lakhs just to die. She is always seen covering her face with a 'Paradha' (drape). Later in the trailer, we get introduced to Subbu's village where people follow superstitions like women should cover their faces with paradha and offer their life to the village deity.
A small dialogue in the teaser which goes like, ‘Oori kosam oiri janam em cheyadanikaina venukadaru’. This means that the story might be about Subbu escaping from the village and its superstitions, and villagers won’t back down on following their superstitions for their village and chase Subbu. The teaser looks interesting and Anupama fits the role. It has to be seen what Darshana and Sangeetha have to offer in this movie. Poojitha Sreekanti and Prahaas Boppudi wrote the film.
Mridul Sujit Sen handled the cinematography and the visuals look good. Gopi Sunder's music was okay. Vijay Donkada, Sreenivasulu PV and Sridhar Makkuva bankrolled the project. Paradha will hit the theatres soon.
