Pasanga completes successful 50 days

It has been the watershed 50 days for Kollywood. The litmus test to see if we really became a mature audience came ironically in the form of a childrenÂs film, Pasanga. And how well we scored!
It has been fifty full days since Pasanga got released, and the film, featuring youngsters, is still running to packed houses. The film was sans any of the typical commercial elements that we associate films with, and its victory has definitely meant a green signal for more filmmakers with a different mould like director Pandiraj.
The filmÂs success also augurs well for its producer, director M Sasikumar, who mustered the courage to do an offbeat yet entertaining film.
Despite competition from many other films including those of leading stars, the film has been having a successful run in over 35 theatres where it has been running for 140 shows.
