Passengers escape luckily as SpiceJet plane overshoots

It was a providential escape for the passengers of a SpiceJet aircraft on Monday afternoon. At the famous Shirdi airport, the aircraft reportedly "skidded off the runway on landing." As per early reports, all the passengers are safe. They were deplaned normally. The number of passengers on board is yet to be reported.

The plane visibly "touched down some 30-40 meters away from the landing spot," reports say. SpiceJet authorities have confirmed the news.

Soon after the incident, the airport authorities stalled all the operations at the port.

At the time of writing this news, no government official has made any statement on the incident.
