Pathu Thala is an action drama movie, directed by Obeli N Krishna. Silambarasan TR and Gautham Karthik play the lead roles in the movie Pathu Thala. Pathu Thala is a Tamil remake of the hit 2017 Kannada movie Mufti. Simbu has undergone a significant physical transformation for this movie.

Pathu Thala’s cast includes actors Simbu, Gautham Karthik, Gautham Menon, Kalaiyarasan and Priya Bhavani, Shankar and Teejay Arunasalam, among others. The project is bankrolled by Jayantilal Gada and KE Gnanavelraja under the banners of Studio Green and Pen Studios.

The plot of the film revolved around a police officer who was on the chase of an underworld lord. While Simbu plays the political clout Gautham Karthik is expected to essay the role of the police officer.

The music for the movie is composed by AR Rahman and the cinematography will be done by Farook J Basha. The movie is edited by National Award-winning editor Praveen KL. Pathu Thala is scheduled to release on Dec 14, 2022.
