Pawan's movie on Jesus may never take off

It is known that Singeetham Srinivasa Rao has been planning to make a movie on the life and times of Jesus Christ, with Pawan Kalyan in the role of the Divine being. Everyone from the hero down was very much eager about the ambitious project. In fact, some test shots were filmed on Pawan and others in 2010. The multi-lingual film was expected to go on the floors that year, but it fell off for some reason. The movie was supposed to be made and released simultaneously in English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil and therefore, its budget was always pegged at some astronomical price. In August last, the makers said that an Anglo-Indian would be cast in an important role.

We heard nothing about the film thereafter. It is now said that Konda Krishnamraju of Aditya Productions is thinking of kissing a goodbye to the idea once and for all! In the opinion of the producer and his director the film may be difficult to be made considering budget constraints.

The makers seem to believe that it is not prudent to spend so much money on an offbeat film. Pawan's presence in the movie was the reason it enjoyed so much coverage in the media. If the grapevine is to be believed, this movie will never take off.
