Payal in judicial custody over anti-Nehru comments

Model-turned-actress Payal Rohatgi has been arrested by Rajasthan Police over a video she made on India's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. On Monday, she has been sent to eight-day judicial custody by a local court in Bundi.

Payal's arrest has been condemned as undemocratic and intolerant by sections of commentators. Soon after her arrest on Sunday, she tweeted out, "I am arrested by Rajasthan police for making a video on #MotilalNehru which I made from taking information from Google. Freedom of Speech is a joke."

Rajasthan is a Congress-ruled State.
