'Pelli Choopulu' in Hindi remake to have Gujarati backdrop

Cult hit 'Pelli Choopulu' is going to be remade in Hindi. Jackky Bhagnani will reprise Vijay Devarakonda's role in the Bollywood version of the Tharun Bhascker entertainer.

Perhaps because of the entrepreneurial ambitions of the heroine's character, the film will be set in Gujarat, a state known for its business acumen. It is currently being shot in Ahmedabad.

The untitled romantic comedy will be directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Phantom Films. The director has said that the original has been appropriately adapted to suit Hindi nativity. We all know what a big hit 'PC' was. Let's see if it will turn out to be an equally benchmark-setting film in Hindi.
