Petition filed to stop the release of 'Lingaa'

Rajinikanth starrer 'Lingaa' is slated for a release on December 12th and now a filmmaker named Ravi Rathinam has filed a writ petition in the Madurai bench of Madras High Court to stop the release of the film.

Ravi Rathinam alleged that the storyline of 'Lingaa' is same as his 2013 film "Mullai Vanam 999" and sought a stay on the release of the film.

Rajinikanth will be seen in a dual role in this film. Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha are the leading ladies. The audio of the film will be released in Chennai on November 16th.Rockline Venkatesh is producing this film on Rockline Entertainments banner.
