Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Petta' directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Sun Pictures has rocked the domestic and worldwide box office and has taken a grand opening all over. The film that has music by Anirudh contains the ensemble cast of Rajini, Simran, Trisha, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bobby Simha, Sasikumar and Vijay Sethupathi.

'Petta' has so far collected around 92 Crores from the domestic as well as the global box office with Tamil Nadu accounting for approximately 35 Crores. Chennai city has brought in 4.81 Crores, Chengalput - 9.1Cr., Coimbatore - 5.95 Cr., Tuticorin- Kanyakumari 1.7 Crores and the rest from the remaining territories. The well received action entertainer is expected to cross the magical 100 Crores mark today.
