PM asks Oppn to work for common good

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had an example to set when the Lok Sabha opened for the Monsoon session. He greeted the leaders of the Opposition, in particular greeting Sonia Gandhi with folded hands.

The PM expressed hope that all parties would work in the common interest of the nation, given that the new President, and soon a Vice President, is going to be elected. He said, "GST shows the good that can be achieved when all parties come together and work for the nation."

He added that this session "brings hope" like monsoons.
