'Podaa Podi' Director Turns Lyricist

It has become the norm these days for stars to change roles in the tinsel town - actors become singers, composers become lyricist, producers become directors, and so on. But most often, the change happens for a film that they are closely associated with or are working on. Now, a director has turned lyricist. But this time, we have a different news for you.
Director Vignesh of 'Poda Podi' fame has penned down the raging track 'Engadi Porandha' from 'Vanakkam Chennai' for composer Anirudh. The track has been rendered in the voices of Anirudh and Andrea. Speaking on the track, Vignesh said I did the song for my close buddy Anirudh. I would like to thank him and Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi to have given me this wonderful opportunity to stage my talents. It is worth mentioning that Vignesh has already penned down three songs for his own 'Podaa Podi' and 'Virattu'. The director is helming his next project from September, for which the story discussion is on in London currently.
