Popular comedy actor turned BJP member S.Ve. Sekhar courted controversy by posting a video criticizing the Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi Pazhaniswamy and also the national flag.

The government which has been hitherto on friendly terms with Sekhar and have been forgiving of his many digs at them have this time decided to take legal action. Minister Jayakumar in an earlier interaction quipped that the government is ready to fulfill the wish of the comedian to spend time in jail.

The police have now booked Sekhar under two sections including insulting the flag and the chief minister. There is a sensation following this action in the political circles whether the influential Sekhar would be arrested any time now.
