Vijay who is a corporate monster from USA comes to India to cast his vote, as it's election day. But he soon learns that his vote has been cast by someone else. This provokes him into action; he becomes people's representative and gets involved in a political battle.

Vikraman is a Tamil film director. He was also one of the most successful filmmakers of the 1990s. Vikraman has been elected as the new president of the Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association replacing Bharathiraja after he defeated fellow director Visu by a thumping majority of 155 votes in the election.
