With the whole of social media and the state burning in rage against the men who committed the heinous act of sexually abusing and troubling more than 400 women for the past 7 years in Pollachi, DMK president MK Stalin has said that the case filed against his son in law Sabareesan has been done with the motive of diverting the attention from Pollachi issue.

Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman's camp had filed a case against Sabareesan, citing that he had been involved in defaming and tarnishing the image of Jayaraman on social media and on DMK related websites, and Sabareesan had also followed suit with a case filed against Pollachi Jayaraman.

Speaking on this issue, Stalin said that DMK and the alliance parties have taken a decision to focus on the issue and stay strong against the criminals to get stronger action taken against them, and adding that since the ruling party itself is supportive of the arrested men, to divert the issue, Pollachi Jayaraman has filed a case against his son in law Sabareesan. Stalin said that the case will be dealt with legally, and added that this rule must be thwarted in this election.
