A 23-year-old man from Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, identified as Renda Pakamathari, has been arrested after he was found guilty of circulating child pornography on Facebook.

Renda, who hails from Assam, works in a tiles company in Pollachi, and was identified by the social media cell of the police department as the user who had been watching and uploading child pornography on Facebook. "The All Women Police Station (AWPS) in Pollachi interrogatedPakamathari, who confessed that he had sent child porn to his friends through Facebook Messenger," a police officer reportedly said. The accused has been booked under Sections 13, 14 (1), and 15 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and the Information Technology Act.

A 42-year-old man from Trichy, Tamil Nadu was arrested last month after he was found guilty of sharing child porn content on Facebook as well.
