Chiyaan Vikram, who recently wrapped up shooting for 'Mahaan (Chiyaan 60),' is currently shooting for the magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan'. This two-part film is one of the costliest Tamil films ever made in Kollywood and also the dream project of legendary director Mani Ratnam. The period drama also has the distinction of being the biggest multi-starrer ever in Tamil cinema.

While the makers have taken strict action after Aishwarya Rai's look from Ponniyin Selvan got leaked recently, Chiyaan Vikram's latest selfie with a popular 90s villain, who is also part of the franchise, has been going viral. Babu Antony is an actor as well as a martial artist who works majorly in the Malayalam industry. He had starred in several Tamil movies too. He is well known for his roles as a villain in the 80s and 90s.

A few of his famous roles in Tamil are Jessie's father in Simbu's 'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya' and 'Akbar Bhai' in Raghava Lawrence's 'Kanchana'. He is now playing an important role in Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan'. On August 27 (Today), Babu Antony took to his Facebook page to post a selfie of him with his co-star Vikram. He also posted a selfie with actress Aishwarya Lekshmi, who plays 'Poonguzhali' in PS, on 25th August.

Babu has joined back with the Ponniyin Selvan team in Gwalior for the current schedule. Sharing the picture with Chiyaan, Babu posted, "Was great meeting with Vikram again. we worked in Mafia, Street etc. long back. We could not take snaps in the location since we were in costumes. Yesterday he came to my room and we took selfie. He is the same old Vikram, humble and caring."

According to sources, the makers have completed close to 75% of the shoot of both the parts of Ponniyin Selvan. The star cast of this franchise also boasts Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Prakash Raj and Sarathkumar among others. While Isai Puyal A.R. Rahman scores music, Ravi Varman cranks the camera for this film. The first part of 'Ponniyin Selvan - 'PS1' is expected to release at the beginning of 2022 followed by 'PS2' by the end.
