Popular Mollywood filmmaker and chef Naushad is in critical condition. Naushad who had been getting treated at a private hospital is currently on ventilator support. The news was confirmed by another film producer Noushad Aalathur, who took to his social media handle and wrote, "My dear friend Noushad is in critical condition. He is currently on a ventilator at Thiruvalla Hospital. Let's all pray for his speedy recovery. His wife left us all just two weeks ago. They have only one daughter."

Naushad is better known as Naushad Big Chef, who had presented several TV cookery shows. As a film producer, Naushad has bankrolled several superhits including Kazhcha, Chattambinad, Best Actor, Lion, Payyans, and Spanish Masala. Noushad also has a hotel and catering service in Thiruvalla.
