Actor Vijay who had last acted in Bigil directed by Atlee will be seen next in Master which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj after the success of Kaithi, and this movie is produced by XB Film Creators. Master has music by Anirudh, who had earlier worked with Vijay in Kaththi.

Master's first single Oru Kutti Katha which is sung by Vijay himself is releasing on Valentine's day, and it has been said that this song will be the introduction song of Vijay in the movie. The latest speculation making the rounds is that Master will have a romantic song written by director Vignesh Shivan.

Master also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Arjun Das, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu, Gouri G Kishan, and it has been said that Vijay plays an alcoholic college professor who fights drug dealer Vijay Sethupathi. Master is said to be planned as April 9 release.
