Samantha Akkineni, who awaits the release of 'U Turn' on Sept 13, has been engaged in the social service activities of Prathyusha, her NGO. Among others, it takes care of the heart surgeries of young children.

In a novel attempt to collect money for the needy, Samantha turned a vegetable seller at the Jaam Bazaar market in Triplicane Chennai on Friday. Surprised customers, learning of their favorite heroine's motive, thronged the shop and paid big money for the vegetables and in no time the baskets became empty.

Come Monday, a song on the theme of 'U Turn', composed and sung by Anirudh Ravichander, will be released at 10am both in Telugu n Tamil.
