Prabhu Deva seems surprised with the rumors doing the rounds about his next. Rumor mills worked overtime that Prabhu Deva will be remaking cult Tamil blockbuster 'Baasha' of Superstar Rajinikanth in Hindi with Ajay Devgn in the lead role.

However the dancer-cum-actor-cum-director has rubbished these as mere rumors. He confirms that he will be doing a film with Ajay Devgn this year and that the movie will have a different subject and has nothing to do with the classic.

I don't understand where such rumors even come up from! Rajini sir's Baasha is a classic it cannot be remade in Hindi, says Prabhu Deva.

He is currently awaiting the release of 'Rowdy Rathore' (June 1) that sees Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. The film is a remake of 'Siruthai' which by itself is a remake of Telugu blockbuster 'Vikramarkudu'.
