Prabhu Deva, Vinayak confident about Lakshmi

The audio release function of Prabhu Deva's 'Lakshmi' was held on Sunday. The event was attended by the cast and crew of the dance drama. VV Vinayak was the chief guest.

VV Vinayak said, "The children who have acted in the movie will definitely make it big in future. Prabhu Deva garu is a multi-talented person. He is a crazy actor not only in Tamil Nadu but also in the Telugu states.

In Mumbai, too, he is widely respected. Director Vijay makes meaningful cinema. He is an award-winning director. 'Lakshmi' is going to be a big hit. I am glad that the title of this movie is the same as one of my movie titles. For producer C Kalyan garu, this one is going to be a lifetime memory."

Prabhu Deva said, "This is my first movie with producer C Kalyan garu. When I am in Mumbai, I am called a director; in Chennai, I am called a hero; in the Telugu States, I am called a dance master. Whenever I am to Telugu States, it feels like my ancestral home. 'Wanted' and 'Rowdy Rathore', which I directed in Hindi, were remakes of Telugu hits. Telugu films have contributed to my growth in a big way.

As for 'Lakshmi', the film has come out really well. This is not just a dance film but a very emotional drama. Children can not only impress you with their dances but can also make you cry. When the director told me he wanted to make a dance movie, I insisted that it has to be done in a very special way and not ordinarily. This is the best AL Vijay garu film. Aishwarya Rajesh, Sathyam Rajesh and others have done their parts very well. Ditya Bhande is a nice dancer."

AL Vijay said, "I thank the producers for investing in me. I thank C Kalyan garu for supporting Lakshmi's Telugu version. The assistant dance masters cooperated with us throughout the making of the film. Prabhu Deva garu has supported this movie like a Godfather. He is an excellent creator. I appreciate cinematographer Nirav Shah and music director Sam CS. The child artists who are seen in the film practised dances for 75 days before the film was taken to the floors."

C Kalyan said, "If I am releasing the movie in Telugu, it's because of Prabhu Deva garu. This film shows the greatness of dance and the sentiments, emotions and attachments in it. Director Vijay is like my son. I have known his father for many years. I am going to announce a sensational biopic with Vijay as the director."

The film will hit the screens on August 24.
