Prabhu Devas film to have a sequel

Tamil-Telugu-Hindi trilingual horror comedy, 'Abhinetri' ('Devi' in Tamil), didn't do well in Telugu when it hit the screens in 2016. Directed by AL Vijay, the film starred Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah in the main roles. The film will now have a sequel by the same director-hero duo.

Ahead of the release of 'Lakshmi' (August 24th release in both Telugu and Tamil), Prabhu Deva has confirmed that the sequel will be happening soon. It has to be seen what will be the genre of the entertainer. 'Abhinetri' had a weak climax. As such, its sequel will need an exciting premise.

As for 'Lakshmi', it's directed by Vijay and stars Ditya Bhande and Aishwarya Rajesh in key roles.
