Actor Pradeep Ranganathan, following the success of his film ‘Love Today’, will star in a new movie produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Actress Mamitha Baiju has been cast as the female lead, and the film also features popular actors Sarathkumar and Rohini. The film is directed by Keerthishwaran and has been titled “Duet”. Recently, the title look of the film was officially released.
The movie is set to release in five languages, including Tamil and Telugu. However, a controversy has arisen regarding the film's title. Telugu actor and director Teja has claimed that the title “Duet” belongs to him. According to Teja, he had announced a project named “Duet” a year ago and expressed surprise that Mythri Movie Makers has chosen the same title for their upcoming project. He stated that he has no intention of opposing a reputed production house like Mythri but has brought the matter to their attention.
Teja’s film is based on football and has been made in Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. It remains to be seen whether the title issue between the two projects will be resolved amicably.
