Pradeep Ranganathan’s ‘LIK’ Release Postponed Again?
December 9, 2025 Published by anbuselvid8bbe9c60f

Tamil cinema’s young box-office king Pradeep Ranganathan has turned every film he touches into a 100-crore blockbuster. From Love Today to Dragon and the recent Dude, all three films have stormed past the magical ₹100 crore mark, creating massive records.
Now, fans have been eagerly waiting for his next biggie – Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty as the lead pair (in both Tamil and Telugu), with a stellar supporting cast that includes SJ Suryah, Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri G Kishan, Mysskin, Sha Ra and several others. With music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Ravi Varman & Sathyan Sooryan, and editing by Pradeep E Ragav, the film is a grand romantic entertainer set in the year 2040.
Originally planned for September 18, 2025, the release was first shifted to October 17 (Diwali), then pushed to December 18, 2025 to avoid a clash with Pradeep’s own Dude.
However, the latest buzz suggests another delay. James Cameron’s mega-sequel Avatar: Fire and Ash is scheduled to release worldwide on December 19, 2025, and to avoid direct competition with the Hollywood giant, the makers are reportedly considering pushing LIK to February 13, 2026 – just ahead of Valentine’s Day weekend. An official confirmation from the team is still awaited.

Disappointed fans have already started trending #ReleaseLIKNow and #PradeepRanganathanNext, expressing their frustration over the repeated postponements.
Produced by Rowdy Pictures (Nayanthara & Vignesh Shivan) and Seven Screen Studio, LIK is expected to be yet another clean ₹100-crore+ entertainer from the Pradeep Ranganathan-Vignesh Shivan combo.
Here’s hoping the team announces the final date soon. Wishing LIK a grand theatrical release whenever it arrives!
