A few weeks ago, we reported that the versatile Prakash Raj has been roped in to play a real-life character in the biopic 'Mahanati'.

It emerges that he will essay the role of Chakrapani, a multi-faceted personality who was a writer, a director and, above all, a producer. He was a polyglot who partnered with the great B Nagi Reddy. Vijaya Vahini Productions was his.

Many had assumed that Prakash Raj would be portraying an actor. However, director Nag Ashwin has proved that he has other plans. Since not many would know how Chakrapani behaved, Raj should find it easy to use creative liberty in essaying the role.
