When recent news of Prakash Raj saying that only Kannadigans should rule Karnataka was out, the actor received severe condemnation from the public. But the actor has come out with a clarification regarding this issue. 

Prakash Raj stated that he only mentioned about the rampant class politics involved in any state involved namely Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra and the immediate need to defeat those politicians who tout the same. 

Moreover he stated that by misinterpretation and false propagation of what he said, it has only lead to him recieving bad press and anxiety among the people. Even following his clarification, the actor has been receiving mixed responses from netizens and the general public.
