'Premalu,' a Malayalam film that has received both critical acclaim and box office success in 2024, is now set to conquer the Telugu market with SS Karthikeya, son of renowned director SS Rajamouli, taking charge of the distribution. The film is all set to release in Telugu on March 8, 2024.

The cast of the film is actively promoting its Telugu version, with lead actors Naslen and Maimitha Baiju engaging with the media to the delight of their fans. In a recent interview, Maimitha Baiju expressed her admiration for Global Star Ram Charan, revealing that she has watched his film 'Magadheera' numerous times. She particularly praised Ram Charan's transformation in the film, from a commoner to Magadheera, which left her awestruck.

Maimitha shared that she is a dedicated fan of Ram Charan and thoroughly enjoyed watching 'Magadheera' after checking the screening timings in newspapers in Kerala. Moving on to 'Premalu,' the film is a romantic comedy co-written and directed by Girish A. D., starring Naslen K. Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles. The ensemble cast includes Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan M, Meenakshi Raveendran, Akhila Bhargavan, Althaf Salim, and Mathew Thomas. Vishnu Vijay composed the music, while Ajmal Sabu and Akash Joseph Varghese handled the cinematography and editing, respectively.

'Premalu' was a blockbuster hit at the box office, grossing over ₹85.48 crore (US$11 million) worldwide with a budget of ₹3 crore (US$380,000). It emerged as the highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2024 and the seventh highest-grossing Indian film of the year. Anticipation is high for the film's Telugu version, given the tremendous response to its trailer, which has captivated movie lovers across the board.
