Thala Ajith Kumar is one of the leading actors in Tamil cinema and A.R. Murugadoss made his directorial debut in 2001 film Dheena, which starred Ajith and Laila. A little-known aspect about the super-hit film is that it featured a short cameo of filmmaker Alphonse Puthren of Neram and Premam fame.

He was seen in a minor role where he eve teases Laila in various scenes. Alphonse Puthram who initially directed many short films in Tamil went on to direct the blockbuster Premam in Malayalam. It is noteworthy that he was also participating in Naalaya Iyakunar show.

Fans recently dug out these stills from the movie and it is now going viral in social media platforms. He is also currently directing a film titled Paatu starring Fahad Faasil and Nayantara.
