Priya Mani on cloud nine

Happy with the way her career has shaped up in Kollywood is Priya Mani.

Introduced by Bharathiraja on the silver screen with Kangalal Kaithu Sei, the actress acted in a couple of movies which tasted little success.

Thanks to Balu Mahendra's Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam, she is in the hunt for good roles now.

She says, 'Though people saw me as a glamour doll, Balu Mahendra gave me an excellent role in his Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam. It gave me an excellent opportunity to showcase my acting skills, besides going for glamour too. I am happy that people have been appreciating my performance in the movie.'

Priya Mani has also pinned her hopes on Ameer's Paruthi Veeran. She says, ' I play a different role in the movie and it again has brought out my acting skills to the fore. Also, I am acting in Susi Ganesan's movie, which will bring me more fame'.
