The national crush of last year, Priya Prakash Varrier, famously known as the 'wink girl', is doing a suspense thriller titled 'Sridevi Bungalow'.  The entertainer has the youngster playing the role of an actress named Sridevi.  So far, so good.  However, she meets a tragic fate in the film.  Towards the end of the trailer, her character is seen in a deathly condition in a bathtub.  Probably, she is in danger from an unseen character.

No prizes for guessing that this one has an eerie resemblance to the accidental drowning of the legendary actress Sridevi.  Soon after the trailer came out, Boney Kapoor, Sridevi's husband, sent a legal notice to the makers of 'Sridevi Bungalow'.  The notice says that the film is a mockery of Sridevi's death.

On his part, the film's director, Prasanth Mambully, has stated that Sridevi is a common name across India.  "That's why I have used that name.  I am ready to face any controversy," he said.
