At last, Priyamani has made a prize catch in Bollywood. The dusky beauty from south India, who made her debut in Hindi with Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan', was waiting for a right opportunity to make her presence felt in the north.

And now, she has signed to play the leading lady in a film to be directed by Chandrakanth Singh. The movie is set to have Riteish Deshmukh (Genelia D' Souza's husband) as protagonist.

While it is said that the 'Paruthiveeran' girl is in talks to be part of another Hindi film too, she is currently busy with a few commitments in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada industries. She will work out her dates as per the requirements, sources say.

As far as Kollywood is concerned, Priyamani was said to be one of the leading ladies of her mentor Bharathiraja's comeback film 'Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum'. But for reasons untold, she was replaced by Iniya of 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' fame.
