High court takes decision against Vishal

The Madras High Court has refused to stay the Tamil Nadu government order to appoint a special officer to oversee the Tamil Film Producers Council on a petition filed by president Vishal. There have been allegations against the current office bearers of the organization which prompted the government to intervene.

Vishal had filed the petition challenging the interference of the TN government on the affairs of the TFPC and to obtain a stay which has failed. Industry analysts see this as a major setback for Vishal and his supporters as the members opposing him are claiming victory.
