Producer ‘Thakkali’ Srinivasan Passes Away

The Tamil film industry and fans are in deep mourning following the news that ‘Thakkali’ Srinivasan, a multifaceted artist and successful producer, has passed away in Bengaluru due to health complications.
His final rites are scheduled to take place tomorrow (March 11) in Bengaluru.
Srinivasan was not just a producer; he proved his mettle across various departments as a director and music composer. He was particularly known for bringing fast-paced and innovative storylines to Tamil cinema.
Some of his most notable films include: Ivargal Varungala Thoongal,Manasukkul Mathappu,Naalaya Manithan (A pioneer in Tamil thriller cinema), Jenma Natchathiram, Adhisaya Manithan,
Witness.
Beyond his work behind the scenes, he also left a mark on screen. He earned widespread praise for his performance as a villain opposite Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan in the film Soorasamharam.
Away from the glitz and glamour of the film world, ‘Thakkali’ Srinivasan lived as a great humanist. He dedicated the later years of his life to social service and ran an ashram. There, he cared for many adopted children, providing them with a nurturing environment and a bright future.
His life serves as a testament to the idea that “Living as a good human being is more honorable than gaining fame as an artist.”
