Protest cancels 'Purampokku' Shooting

'Purampoku', a directorial venture by Director Jhananathan had decided to begin its shooting on 4th of August. But the latest news is that Director has decided to join the protest declared by the Director's Union against the Srilankan government.

Director says, “ The humiliation meted out to the ruler is a humiliation to a citizen” who described the Srilankan army website's coward act of undermining the chief minister of Tamilnadu.

The cancelation of the shooting was not official, but Jhananathan chose to lead by example and decided to call off the shooting for a day.

Director is popularly known for his social issues related to international events. He says ,” I thank my artistes and technicians for supporting this, and we as a race of dignity prove to the world that we mean what we protest!".
