Superstar replaces Ajith

'Vedalam' that released for Deepavali 2015 has been adjudged as one of the top blockbusters of Kollywood and it is also the highest ever grosser in Thala Ajith's acting career.

Talks about the Kannada remake of this flick directed by Siva and produced by A.M.Ratnam have been doing the rounds for long. Now the plans have been firmed up it seems.

The Kannada remake of 'Veda;am' will have Sandalwood superstar Puneeth Rajkumar in lead role and it will be directed by the remake specialist Naga. Search is on for the actors to reprise the heroine role played by Shruthu Haasan and villain roles by Kabhir Singh and Rahul Dev in the original.

We will have to wait for an official confirmation regarding the project.
