Puri-DVV tension: Wednesday deadline to DVV

It is known that Puri Jagannadh some days ago approached the Directors' Association complaining about DVV Danayya's refusal to pay him the full agreed remuneration amount. While the producer agreed to pay him Rs. 7 cr as fee for directing CGTR, he paid Rs. 4.50 cr only. He allegedly told Puri that he would not be able to pay the remainder amount as the costs had already exceeded.
Puri took the issue to the Directors' Association. After DVV and PJ seemed to put up a united front in promoting CGTR, some sections of the media thought that they had reached a compromise.
It turns out that the issue was never brought to a closure. The Association has given a Wednesday deadline (Oct 17) to DVV to pay the dues to PJ, failing which a non-cooperation fiat will be issued against DVV.
